The Rumah Yatim Arrohman Foundation, established in Bandung in May 2007, is a national social organization focused on empowering orphans and the underprivileged in Indonesia. With the expansion of its network and the growing number of children in its care, as well as its representative offices spread throughout Indonesia, the Rumah Yatim Foundation recognized the importance of an effective system. Initially, the Rumah Yatim Foundation used Zahir Accounting Desktop. This application makes it easy to generate financial reports quickly and according to specific needs. The team at the headquarters can monitor the receipt and distribution of zakat, infaq, and sedekah (ZISWAF) funds from various donors.
However, as the number of regional offices has grown to nearly 30 locations, the need for a real-time system has arisen. A new system is needed so that all regions can be directly involved in financial recording and reporting.
Transparency and Efficiency with Zahir Online
In 2014, the Rumah Yatim Foundation upgraded its system to Zahir Online. With this system, each regional office can record financial transactions in real time. This covers everything from the receipt of zakat funds to the distribution of aid, resulting in more accurate reports that can be accessed at any time.
“With Zahir Online, we can monitor all operational activities without worrying about missing any data. We can also submit reports immediately,” said Mr. Ridwan, Director of Finance and Accounting at Rumah Yatim.
Comprehensive with Zahir ERP
In 2019, the Rumah Yatim Foundation adopted Zahir ERP to meet its more complex operational needs. This system supports the management of large-scale transactions, in-depth financial reporting, and improved asset management.
“Zahir ERP offers comprehensive features and integration that help us meet our reporting requirements to donors, the government, and other parties,” added Mr. Ridwan.
